WHITE, Kenneth 15 Years, 1 Month ago
Kenneth passed away on March 8, 2009 in Chilliwack at the age of 72. He was born on June 6, 1936 in Springhill, Nova Scotia.
Ken is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan White; his four children: Alf (Cindy), Hance (Kathy), Ken (Connie), Dawn (Ken) Therres, 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and six brothers and one sister.
Ken was with the Armed Forces for 25 years. After he retired he worked another 15 years as a civil servant.
He loved hockey. He played; he coached and was a dedicated fan of the game. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a down-homer at heart and loved to socialize. He would talk to anyone who had time to listen.
Ken loved to let out his frustrations on a golf ball. The ball unfortunately did not always go where he wanted it to go.
All who knew him loved him and we will all miss him dearly. He will especially be missed by his dog, Jigs.
A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Online condolences can be left at www.mem.com

With thanks to Mel Ellis for providing notice of Kenny’s death.
