Black Watch friends:

Regret to report the recent passing of Bill Landry in Toronto.
Bill was one of the Regular Force originals: He joined 1st Canadian Highland Battalion as a member of its 48th Highlanders company and went to Germany with the unit in 1951. He remained with the unit when it re-badged Black Watch and returned to Canada/Camp Aldershot in 1953. There he was posted almost immediately to the newly formed Black Watch Depot as an instructor and he accompanied the Depot when it was re-located to Camp Sussex, New Brunswick the following year.
Bill left the Regular Force a few years later and returned to Toronto where he became a very active member of The Black Watch Association’s Toronto Branch.
