ROYALE, J.C. (Jack) 4 Years, 11 Months ago  
Black Watch & RCR friends:

Regret to report the passing of Jack Royale last week in Cape Breton.
Jack served with 2nd Battalion, The Black Watch RHC in Aldershot, Gagetown, Germany and Cyprus as a drummer in the Pipes & Drums. He re-badged 2RCR in 1970 and remained with their Pipes & Drums.

John Charles “Jack” Royale
John Charles “Jack” Royale, of Westmount, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Florence, he was the son of the late John “Jack” and Ella (Reid) Royale.

Jack was a member of the Westmount United Church, a Life member of the Westmount Legion Branch 126, a member of the United Nations Peace Keepers and an honorary member of the Westmount Volunteer Fire Department. He served overseas with the Black Watch and RCR.

Jack is survived by his wife, Ruby (McRae); daughter, Brenda (George), Guelph; sons, Keith (Mary), Kentville, and John (Late Mary), Guelph; Grandchildren, Matthew and Ashley, one sister, Evelyn (Denny) Fifield, Frenchvale; four brothers, Max (Beatrice), Fred (Gloria), Wolfville, Gilbert (Kathy), Wayne (Cathy), Wolfville; brother-in-law, Murdock (Brenda), Trout Brook Rd.; three special nephews, Murdock John, Colin and Nolan; Aunt Joan Mosher and God Daughter Sharon Kennedy and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Isabel and Debbie.

Visitation will take place Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 7 – 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. in Sydney Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Monday in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Thomas G. Whent officiating. Interment in Oakfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to charity of choice. Words of comfort may be sent to the family
