I remember many years ago, before I joined the Cadet Corps going to the old Montreal Forum for a military tattoo. I went with my Dad George Cook ex 13th Bn, his brother Bert Cook ex 13th Bn, some of you may remember them from the Sgt's Mess. They, as I were in civilian dress, my other uncle WO 1 Art Walker on active duty with the Queen's Own Rifles out west was in Uniform. That was the first time I heard Highland Laddie. I don't remember the bands playing on the floor of the forum all I do remember is that EVERYONE stood at attention. The next year I went into the Cadet Corps, we always stood for the Regimental March. However those were the old days, now I live in the United States, I've seen clowns not even take their caps off when the colors under arms pass by or when the National Anthem is played. I know one thing for sure I will always stand when Our Regimental March is Played.

Just as an addendum anyone else that was at Gagetown for the Queen Mother's visit, I don't remember anyone sitting down when Highland Laddie was played there
