Black Watch & RCR friends:
Regret to report the passing of John Harper last week in Fredericton, NB.
John went to Germany in 1962 with Second Battalion, The Black Watch RHC (‘D’ Company) and remained with the unit when it returned to Gagetown in 1965 and then to Cyprus in 1966. At about this time he was appointed Unit Photographer and returned to Cyprus, this time with Support Company, in 1969/70. It seems that this photographic experience may have paved the way for his post-military employment at the University of New Brunswick.
John re-badged to 2RCR in 1970.
