HISCOCK, C. (Cecil) 7 Years ago
Black Watch & RCR friends:

Regret to report the passing of Cecil Hiscock in Oromocto on Monday 26 March.

Cecil served with 2nd Battalion RHC during his early years in the Army. He served with ‘A’ Company in Gagetown and Germany, and later with ‘C’ Company. Like many of us, he re-badged 2RCR in 1970.
Cecil has been a staunch supporter of The Black Watch Association’s Atlantic Branch and New Brunswick Chapter and has rarely missed an annual reunion.

Cecil Hiscock
1938-2017

It is with great sadness we the family of Cecil Hiscock announces his passing on March 26, 2017. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, on November 13, 1938, he was the son of the late Cecil and Mary (Curtis) Hiscock.
He served his Country proudly for 38 years. He was in the 4th Battalion Canadian Guards and then transferred to the Black Watch in the First and Second Battalion. Cecil eventually retired in the 2RCR.
Cecil is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Ward); children, Carole Anne Harris (Brian), Cecil Hiscock, Angela Gravel (Dany); 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Ida, Eileen, Mary and Caroline; brothers, Henry and Raymond; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Cecil is predeceased by one sister, Ena and one brother, Charles.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Oromocto Funeral Home from 6 – 8 pm, with the Black Watch and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 holding a tribute at 6 pm. A funeral service will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel, 108 Winnebago, Oromocto, on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2 pm with Dr. Rev. Perry Hanley officiating. A reception will follow the funeral service in the adjoining room. The family has asked if there could be no flowers. Memorial donations in Cecil’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
