Deep Brook. There are no words to describe our devastation as we say good-bye to the greatest dad who left us Sunday December 6, 2009, in Digby General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Mahone Bay, he was a son of the late Wesley and Winnifred (Eisnor) Dorey. He was the dedicated and devoted father of Wanda (Warnell) Mosher, Digby, and Michael, Deep Brook. Clarence was predeceased by his loving wife, June (Zwicker); infant brother; son-in-law, David Mosher. Clarence will be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, Charlie and Doug (Donna) Zwicker; sister-in-law, Sharon (Roy) Lohnes; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Yesterday our parents would have celebrated 53 years together. Although our hearts ache because of our loss, we get some comfort knowing they are still together. Clarence retired with 29 years in the Canadian Military. He wore his kilt proudly as he served in the Black Watch. When this was disbanded he moved to 2 RCR. Later as an instructor with various platoons. He finished his career as a First Aid Instructor at CFB Cornwallis through this he was presented with the St. John Ambulance Medal from the Governor General of Canada. He was a serving brother of the Order of St. John since 1977. Clarence enjoyed many sports. He coached Minor League Hockey and, we as a family, spent many weekends at the rink. Because of his career we never lived near family so it was always only us four as mom would say. He loved being outdoors and took great pride in his yard. There was nothing he couldn't whip up on the BBQ. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. All the neighbours would know when they scored! After suffering two strokes the sparkle and spirit of love could still be seen. He was a wonderful father and devoted husband. There will be no visitation by the family's request. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 10 in Western Shore Baptist Church. Rev. Dunn officiating. Interment will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Clearland. A reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to Western Shore Baptist Church or charity of choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Home and Crematorium. P.O. Box 239 Port Williams, NS B0P 1T0 (902-542-4656). Private condolences may be sent to the family by visiting:

DOREY (Zwicker), June Gladys Mae

— Deep Brook. It is with heavy hearts that we must say good-bye to a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. June left us Friday, December 4, 2009, in her home. Born in Western Shore, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Willoughby and Alice (Vaughan) Zwicker. She was a beloved wife to Clarence "Junior"; dedicated and devoted mom of Wanda (Warnell) Mosher, Digby, and Michael, Deep Brook. June will be sadly missed by her brothers, Charlie and Doug (Donna) Zwicker; sister, Sharon (Roy) Lohnes, all of Western Shore. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul; sister, Esther Wylie and son-in-law, David Mosher. June spent 29 years as a proud military wife, joining Clarence on numerous postings, but the South Shore was always her home. Her most memorable times were spent at the "Little Place" where her whole family would gather to celebrate her birthday, this was followed by watching the parade and going to the garden party. She loved working in her gardens, reading and writing in her journals. She would want to be remembered as a caring sister, devoted wife of 53 years, and loving mother. With her open heart she also welcomed many neighbourhood children into her home as part of her extended family. Two who have always remained are Suzanne and Barb, whom she loved like daughters. June loved music and was always filled with laughter. She will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of her many family and friends. There will be no visitation by the family's request. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 10 in Western Shore Baptist Church, Rev. Dunn officiating. Interment will take place in Baptist Cemetery, Western Shore. A reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to Western Shore Baptist Church or charity of choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Home and Crematorium, P.O. Box 239 Port Williams, NS B0P 1T0 (902-542-4656).
