Black Watch Friends:

Regret to report that George passed away suddenly at home last night.

George served with our Second Battalion in Gagetown (A Coy), Germany (A Coy & RP Sect) and Cyprus. He retired from the military to become a policeman in his home town, Stellarton, NS. Following his career in law enforcement, George became the Police Commissioner, and later Deputy Mayor, of the Town of Stellarton.
George was responsible for creating the Nova Scotia Chapter of the Black Watch Association and was energetic in all its activities until failing health in recent years forced him to slow somewhat.
Believe that plans are being completed for visitation on Thursday evening and memorial service on Friday.
