In the article on Johnie Bourne the news article states that the Black Watch Battalions were disbanded in 1973. But, unless I've lost my memory totally it was 1970 that the Battalions were disbanded.Correct me if I'm wrong.

and a very sad day it was,for both us the soldiers in the ranks and the canadian military in general, i always thhought that we were BY FAR the sharpest looking troops on parade in our no 1 dress, and we were pretty dam good in the training area also,it was ahell of a sad day when they dissbanded the black watch and one that i,ve never forgot, willie musgrave
