As it happens, just last week I went through the Regimental Archives here in Montreal looking to see if we had any documents from the 1967 parade. Another individual had submitted an info request asking after any related documents. Unfortunately, I was unable to turn up a nominal roll.

Alas, our records are pretty complete up until about 1955, but then they taper off somewhat.

If you have any archives related questions, feel free to address them to museum@blackwatchcanada.com or to my attention at the Armoury.

I was there in 67 with the Cadet Pipe Band and can e-mail a jpeg file of the combined Cadet and 3rd Batallion Pipe Bands to anyone who would like it.

Hey Grinny! How's it going? I haven't seen you since 1969 when I moved to Toronto. What have you been up to?

Rick I remember you there, Mike Scott, Gary Sakaway. I remember seeing a movie of it a few years later I was right behind a guy I believe he was Cadet CO named Cavanaugh. We all went on sceme to Farnum with him. There are many more but the years have faded the memory. I can picture faces but names are hard, Brian Belic and his brother, Brian Penzari. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Can anyone remember what years the Queen Mother Visited Canada?
My first experience was in '64 at Molson Stadium (I was in the stands with my Dad. My last was 1987 at Molson stadium.
There was one in St Hubert, was it two in Toronto, one in Gagetown and two in Montreal.

No problem attesting to the fact that Rick was in Gagetown in "67. Another name I know was there was , Ron O'Toole. He borrowed my leather sporran to go " out on the town" and I was just a brand new cadet and was worried that I would never see it again and Bob Fulton would kill me. Ron did return it the next day, Bob never killed me....

Were you in the room across from Dave Paul, Evans (Big Pat's younger Brother) and myself. I think Mulvaneny was in with us too.

I know there were band across the hall from us using our door for sgian dhu thowing practice. Each time we opened the door the room would resound with the "Thhhhwack" of another impact. We decided that there were only four in the room across so we waited for the fourth impact and opened the door two more times for good measure. the third time I opened the door completely and received a boot on the head for my troubles. I had a heel shaped bruise on my forehead for the next two days! No lasting damage, I think.

I think we nicknamed him Father O'Toole. I saw him a few years later a the Chinese Catholic Church but then he disappeared. Someone said he went to T O.

Your memory is better than mine. Must have been drummers do the skean du thing.....pipers would have used dirks. I'll get a hold of Ted White as he may have been in Gagetown in '67, but not sure. I know if he was he would have some recollection of who was there. I sent off to Gord Ritchie all the cadet members of the band. Can't remember first name , but one of the Windsor brothers must have been there. The railroad probably has a manifest hidden under a cloud of dust somewhere with all the names of who boarded the train to get there...oh well fun to keep on figuring it all out.........
