Black Watch Military Tattoo Print
Saturday, 08 April 2017, 15:00 - 17:00

Date:April 8, 2017

Time:15:00 - 17:00

Details:The Black Watch Military Tattoo is being produced by the Royal Highlanders of Canada, a not-for profit corporation whose purpose is to support the Black Watch (RHR) of Canada army reserve regiment, its soldiers and its veterans. Our production is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge and will commemorate that signal event which contributed mightily towards bringing Canada and Canadians closer to coming into our own. This expression of the legacy of Vimy Ridge and what we all have to contribute to the world as Montrealers, Quebecers, and Canadians will, in our thinking, have an increasing symbolic importance as the international community seems to be forgetting the hard lessons of the early twentieth century in its tending towards a more narrowly self-interested way of understanding the world. Canada provides a very hopeful counter-example of how people of different communities and cultural backgrounds can and should live together and it is our intention that the Black Watch Military Tattoo will be representative of our unique and very Canadian philosophy. Tickets may be purchased online at Evenko.ca. All residual proceeds from the tattoo ticket sales will go to support our soldiers and veterans.
