  • Canadian Warships Depart for Canada‚Äôs Arctic Waterways
    OTTAWA – Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Summerside departed today from Halifax, N.S. for Canada’s arctic, where she will be joined later in August by HMCS Shawinigan. This deployment is a part of a 39-day mission north of the 60th parallel, marking the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) longest uninterrupted arctic naval presence in recent years.

    OTTAWA – On July 30, 2013, 60 Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) personnel will join Canadians in a ceremony of remembrance at Agira Canadian War Cemetery and Memorial as part of Operation SICILY.

  • Canadian Armed Forces welcome new Officer Cadets
    MONTREAL – Today, 45 men and women in the Montreal area were welcomed as officer cadets in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) during an enrolment ceremony that took place at the Royal Canadian Hussars’ Drill Hall. Brigadier-General Louis Meloche, Commander of the Canadian Forces Recruiting Group, presided over the ceremony as a guest of honour.
