Ontario Military Museum To Receive Decommissioned Oberon Submarine
OTTAWA - The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, has signed an agreement that will allow the Elgin Military Museum in St. Thomas, Ontario, to take possession of one of the Royal Canadian Navy's decommissioned submarines - the former HMCS Ojibwa - for permanent, public display.

Force Mobility Enhancement Project
The Force Mobility Enhancement (FME) project includes the acquisition of a fleet of Armoured Engineer Vehicles (AEV) that will provide crucial support to the Leopard 2 tanks, Light Armoured Vehicle III, and future fleets, such as the Close Combat Vehicle and the Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle. The project will also include the installation of tactical mobility implements on the fleet of Leopard 2 main battle tanks.

Navy Transformation: Adjusting to deliver a revitalized Navy
The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) has undertaken a series of actions to transform and streamline the navy’s organizational structures and processes. The intended goal of these initiatives, which support the overall Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces (DND/CF) Transformation efforts, is to ensure the RCN is structured to operate efficiently and effectively, today and tomorrow.
